Unless you have been on the Moon or Mars, I would have hoped that, by now, you had visited Georgie at Being Five.

All kidding aside, Being Five is a comic strip about a five year old kid named Georgie, who blogs using voice recognition software (since he can’t read or write yet). George Sfarnas, cartoonist and animator drew inspiration from his five year old son for his latest comic strip called Being Five.

In an interview, George stated,”I launched the strip in March of 2006, when my own son was five years old. His unique perspective on life made me smile every day (and still does) so I wanted to preserve that in a comic strip…thus Being Five.”

There are some cool cartoons out there but I have to say that I love Georgie and his innocent view about technology and blogging, as I have a 4 year old son and I can really relate to the concept of Georgie.

In our current world situation, we really do need more laughter, now than ever, in our lives. I know that after your first visit you will become a regular Being Five reader.

Please visit Georgie at Being Five

Round Two

Well, I am back after a two day break. Actually, it was good to get away from the computer. Everyone should try and disconnect from technology every now and then.

Round Two: Obama vs McCain was a “sleeper.” It was obvious that McCain is down and fighting for his political life…and losing. There was no “knock out punch” during the debate but it was very clear who was in charge: Obama.

With McCain falling by the wayside, we will see more dirty politics from McCain-Palin during the remaining weeks of the campaign. If I was Obama and won the office of President, I would do everything in my power to hurt “big mouth” Palin when she goes back to Alaska (maybe the people up there will get smart and impeach her…one can only hope) and I would spend part of my time in office attempting to get McCain impeached…but that is just me.

Well, with the world falling apart day by day, I guess we need to bend down, put our heads between our legs and kiss our asses good-bye. Guess we better start investing more money  in playing the  weekly lottery.

See you tomorrow.

The Night of the Zombie

Well, we all witnessed the debate between Senator Joe Biden and Governor Sarah Palin.

Senator Biden was his usual smooth, intellectual self without the gaffes or mis-quotes. He answered the questions directly without any campaign speech rhetoric. He was focused during the entire debate and polite to his opponent.

Governor Palin was quite the opposite. I don’t know what I disliked more: the original pit bull with lipstick or the zombie that we saw last night. It is quite apparent that her “handlers” learned their trade from Senator McCain in the art of brainwashing (who learned it from the North Vietnamese). Palin came off as nothing more than a “wind-up doll” that, from start to finish, provided only parts from  her campaign speech to answer pointed questions. To think that this person is a quarter of a heart beat (not a full one at McCain’s age) from being the President of the United States of America is a scary proposition. It is not much comfort to know that the rest of the world (especially our enemies) are silently laughing at how we chose our political candidates.

If this is what middle-income Americans really want then we are in for 4 years of the “Night of the Zombie.”
