My wife asked me to post the following information. She has posted it on her blog and we, both, feel that this is a very important bit of information.
As many of you know there was a horrible storm this past weekend. This storm flooded 80% of Metro Manila in a matter of hours. It has displaced nearly 500,000 people and caused billions of pesos in damage.
Tropical Storm “Ondoy” (international name – Ketsana) drop more rain on Manila than American Storm “Karina.” dropped on New Orleans. It, also, set a all-time Philippine record for rainfall with almost 14 inches in 6 hours.
This storm is but a series of major storms that have rocked the Philippines in the past few months. With two more possible storms coming in a matter of days, the Filipino people have been overwhelmed by this disaster.
The Philippines needs you help. I am providing a directory of different ways that you can contribute to helping the Filipino people recover from this awful disaster.
